Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about the services that we provide. My name is Raquel and I am the Lead Planner for RK Smith & Co, LLC. I am a self- proclaimed Jill of All Trades and I have a unique love for all types of Projects! Keep reading so I can tell you a bit about myself and my journey into the wedding and event industry. 

 

Years ago, I was contemplating a career change seeking a career that would allow me to utilize one of my greatest strengths of being the go-to person that always “Got Stuff Done”. I was clear on the skills one would need for my dream career but was not quite certain of the title of my ideal role. I simply knew what I was good at and would enjoy doing daily.

 

I was introduced to the field of Project Management (PM) by my former coworker turned sister friend, Nina. After our conversation, I started researching and reading up on PM and I quickly realized that this career field required all of the skills that I excelled in and from that moment, I was hooked!

 

Soon after my discovery, I enrolled and completed a Master of Project Management degree program. This degree opened up an amazing role managing large volume ($15k to $2M) corporate marketing programs. In my free time, I started assisting an amazing Luxury Event Designer and gained years of experience managing full scale events up to 350 guests. I can truly say that have fallen in love with the event industry.

My passion is helping others reach their goals. My keen organizational and project management skills, coupled with your vision helps to make the planning process a success. I assess each of my client's individual needs and my method of execution for your event. Your event will literally come to fruition right in front of your eyes.
